April 2010

Dear Freeze readers,

April is going to be a great month, if you couldn’t tell already! Not only are flowers blooming, the sun is shining (a rarity in Boston to be sure) and warmer weather clothes are popping up all over campus, but Freeze is also sponsoring some great spring events that we’d love to share with you! letterfromeditor_0.jpg

We’re working with OSAPR on campus to get the word out about Take Back the Night. There are going to be many wonderful events related to TBTN – we hope you’ll check them out! Specifically, we’d love for you to join Freeze for Katie Koestner’s speech on April 13th. Katie was the first woman to really speak out against date rape, and she’s going to have not only her experience to share, but will also be asking provocative questions. Check out her article in our College Life section to read more about this incredible woman!

We’re also excited to sponsor Styleta’s campus wide Dress Swap for Formal Season! If you haven’t heard of Styleta, it’s a great new student-run charitable fashion organization that benefits women’s initiative programs. Check back soon for an in-depth article on the organization and the event, and be sure to head over to the Dress Swap on April 25th! It’s a fun and responsible (not to mention super cheap!) way to get a great new dress for formal season.

Lastly, we’re excited to partner with Mary Roberts of Feng Shui Options and Successful Student Environments to offer you this month’s FREEzebie! One lucky reader will win a one-hour feng shui consultation in her dorm room with Mary herself! Of course, we have other great prizes too, so be sure to enter!

Enjoy the last full month of school (gasp!) and we hope to see you at these wonderful events! And, as always, keep reading Freeze, and check out our sister site, Her Campus Harvard!

Freeze love,
Olivia & Liz
