Her outfit fits together perfectly, without being too matchy-matchy. Her dark purple sandals compliment the lavender in her dress, but are simple enough to prevent the strong print from looking too busy.

Lily's all-black ensemble has a great grunge edge. While sticking to black, she mixes genres, offsetting her lace tights' girliness with her kick-butt combat boots. Her outfit also fun in action. The wind made her skirt cling a bit over her shorts, but when walking her pleated skirt swirled and flounced.

Spotted: John Harvard

Despite the cold, John Harvard sticks to his classic look of a jacket, waistcoat and breeches.

But, looking past the snowy weather, toward spring, old John has a point! It's hard to tell because he's sitting down, but his breeches resemble harem pants.

These are not your average MC Hammer pants. They've been spotted all over editorials, the runway and even mainstream brands like Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters this past winter. But, so far it's been to chilly to wear them. It's my goal to spot a Harvard student looking stylish in her harem pants this spring. For now, John Harvard will have to do.

Like Aznavur, Molly successfully mixes patterns and textures within a relatively limited color palette. Her skirt and scarf, and tights and sweater work well together without being too matchy-matchy. She pulls off the tights with aplomb and her look is flirty and fun!

Yes, yes, two dude posts in a row, but just look at Aznavur's attention to detail, color and texture! His gray tweed jacket matches his alternating dark and light gray scarf. His cardigan picks up the navy blue of his t-shirt and topsiders, while the pattern helps his sweater maintain its own character. By sticking to a limited color palette, he can experiment more with patterns and textures, without his look coming across as too busy or frivolous.

Also, something to note: acidwashed denim is back. I'm serious! They've been spotted on runways as varied as Topshop (fast but quality fashion) and Balmain ($1,000 jeans beloved by French Vogue).

Yesterday, in honor of the new president's inauguration, Harvard students got swept up in Obama-mania. President Obama's inspired the fashion-world too, counting everyone from Alexander Wang to Anna Wintour among his supporters. This week's "spotted" fashionista mixed the two worlds together. Even though she spent the day studying in Lamont, Carolina stayed chic in her monochromatic ensemble of jeans, boots, and of course a black and white Obama t-shirt.
